About Aroyd Thai Kitchen 2

Located at 3760 Sports Arena Blvd #5, San Diego, CA 92110, Aroyd Thai Kitchen 2 operates as a thai restaurant serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In San Diego, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across California run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 12–11 pm. It is closed on Monday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Aroyd Thai Kitchen 2 at (619) 890-2909; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 184 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded thai restaurants in San Diego.

San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Diego is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

My bff and I came here by accident because we were craving soup late one night. Much to our surprise, Aroyd was still open. Because, who doesn’t like Thai food?? Let me tell you, tasty food, good prices, and excellent service? This restaurant hit all the spots! Even better? Their Tom Kha soup was the satisfying taste to our craving. One of the surprising things that was really good? Finding out they sold Khao Soi! A northern dish that can hardly be found in most Thai restaurants. So make sure u give it a try! Can’t wait to come back! Such a chill vibe.

When I first walked into the restaurant, it was completely empty. My first thought was, β€œMaybe this place isn’t that good.” But after looking at the menu and seeing how reasonable the prices were, I decided to give it a shot. My mind was completely blown! The waiter was extremely attentive and made sure my water was always filled. The food came out beautifully presented, and every dish was incredibly flavorful. We ordered the papaya salad, fried chicken, spring rolls, mango sticky rice, and larbβ€”and everything was amazing. The flavors were exactly what I was looking for and more. I’m from Sacramento, California, where we have a lot of Thai restaurants, but this place truly stands out. The food was so good that I actually came back the very next day and ordered the exact same dishes again. This place completely exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it!

My friend and I stopped by for lunch on a Sunday around 2 PM and were pleasantly surprised by their fantastic lunch special. You can choose either a soup or a rice dish, and it also comes with Thai tea and two egg rolls. The place was relatively quiet, but very clean and welcoming. There were a handful of tables occupied, and only one woman was taking orders, but she handled everything efficiently while still providing friendly service and excellent recommendations. Here’s what we ordered: β€’ Panang Curry: Absolutely phenomenal. My friend used to work in a Thai food truck and is very familiar with authentic Thai cuisine, and he couldn’t stop talking about how good this curry was. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. β€’ Crab Fried Rice: I was torn between this and the pineapple fried rice, but I’m so glad I chose the crab fried rice. It was loaded with crab and the portion was enormous, easily enough for three meals. Excellent flavor and incredible value. β€’ Egg Rolls: Crispy, delicious, and paired with a flavorful dipping sauce that made them even better. β€’ Thai Tea: Perfectly made and absolutely delicious. It was so refreshing that I could have finished it in just a few sips.

OK, I love amazing Thai food. This restaurant checked all the boxes and then some. Definitely the best tasting Thai food I've had in San Diego. Ordered 2 spice and was spicy. Goes up to 5 on scale if you want to. The coconut milk in the Panang Salmon was perfection. The drunken noodles, pad kee mao, were beyond the best. πŸ˜‹

I was craving for some Thai. This is my second time I've been to this place and the taste was better than before. I ordered their lunch special, Pad Ka Pao. It came with 2 egg rolls, rice and a Thai tea. The sunnyside egg was extra. It was delicious and savory. The staff were friendly and courteous. The service was excellent. There are plenty of parking, family friendly and the environment was clean and tidy. I would recommend this place. 5 star out of 5. Good eats.
